Lincoln High School

Abraham Lincoln High School was opened on August 27, 1940. Their school size back then was less than half of the size today. After 10 years the school began some changes, students no longer needed to dress in uniform, Lincoln's gyms, Little theater were added this year. Lincoln's mascot is the mustang because back then the area the school was located in used to have a horse farm.

In the 1990s the Brotherhood/Sisterhood assembly was started, color was introduced into the yearbook, and school spirit became more of an importance during school events. Back then there was no late schedule like there is today, school started at 8:00 AM and ended at 2:43 for everyone back in the 1990s.  

Now in the 2000s a new millennium arrives and the school now has a late and early schedule. The school district had enforced a ban on candy and junk food sales during this time. And the Internet became more widely used as an educational tool at Lincoln. Also during this time a school website was created, it being They currently have over 60 clubs; offer a wide variety of languages it being, Chinese, Spanish, French, and Japanese.

Lincoln's Library has a wide array of assistance and resources that the students and teachers. The students have access of 22,000 books, audiocassettes and videotapes for checkout at the library. The library is a nice quiet place for students to meet up, study, and projects. They have computers with Internet access so that the students can use word processing, create presentations, and spread sheet software. After all isn't this the number one most requested high school?
