The Richmond District is the Western district of San Francisco that borders the ocean.
This district is roughly 50 city blocks long and 7 blocks wide. The Richmond District is neighbors with Golden Gate Park, and is a very large residential area. The population is very diverse, with ethnicity varying from area to area.
In terms of businesses, the Richmond District thrives off of two main streets, Geary Boulevard and Clement St., which are flourished with restaurants and stores. The Richmond lies around an hour away from Downtown and is one of the more quiet districts, like Sunset, and is separated by numbered avenues, and named streets. It is very well known for being one of the safest, and neighborly districts in San Francisco.
The avenues are very easy to reach from any tourist attracting through public transportation, and the grid formation of the city blocks makes it simple to navigate through.
